chocolate syrupy waffles does their twenty-ninth podcast and calls me out so here I am

The CSW bloggers over at CSW were CSWing and podCSWting and some stuff blah blah and there was this line at the bottom:

*inb4FLOMUsaysshitaboutus*

shit

Props to my homebro @Jesus159159159 for coming back on Twitter and giving me the heads up.  We ain’t gonna let NO ONE barge in and talk SHIT about us on OUR TURF.

Speaking of things that are painful to read/listen to/watch/etc., here are a couple of posts I found on Anime Nano that make me ashamed to be called a human:

Targeting a Different Demographic, by MkMiku

I can deal with people liking My Little Pony (kind of), but I felt like shitting my pants and blowing chunks all over my monitor after I read this post.  If troll, then extremely successful.  If not, then I cannot begin to try to understand what goes on in the demonic, deranged piles of mush that MLP fans call their brains.

The best line:

Just as blacks earned the same rights as whites, and women began to stand on equal footing with men in the 20th century, it’s the year 2011: it’s time to tear down all preconceptions that guys can’t like girls’ shows for what they are, or vise versa.

Huh, I never thought about that.  Now excuse me while I paint my nails and talk about boys with hot butts and pretend to like shopping for clothes.

I always thought that MLP was directed towards girls between the ages of 1 and 1.5.  I don’t understand why anybody would want to stand on equal footing with an eighteen-month-old toddler.

Dakimakura Review – Teresa Beria from Seikon no Qwaser, by Tier

I never realized that people did dakimakura reviews.  I assumed people just bought them and humped during their own free time.  I don’t really want to know about the quality of said humpage, or what the buyer prefers in a humpillow.

And honestly, there isn’t much to talk about in a dakimakura review.  The post is pretty long, even without the pictures, and the most important line is buried in the middle:

It goes without saying that I like the graphics, since the graphics are probably the major reason anybody purchases a dakimakura cover.

>> goes without saying

>> the major reason

So basically this is a Seikon no Qwaser review with a bunch of pictures of pillows and boobs and butts.  What really gets me are the zoomed-in pictures of the character’s butt and crotch.  I don’t see much difference between the full-pillow picture and the crotch shot.  The latter is just bigger and grainier.

Anime fans suck.

We’ve conquered racism and sexism, world, but now it’s our biggest fight ever – some people on the Internet make fun of boys because they like My Little Pony.

    I mean, seriously?

I don’t see how this became a gender-based issue in the first place, tbh. I would make fun of girls over the age of 2 liking this show, too!

I’m not too sure if I understand what you mean? You mean that men should stick with “manly” things and ignore MLP because “it’s aimed towards young girls”? Or maybe I forgot to read between the lines.

The creator herself said this http://i.imgur.com/qmN0W.png

I’m sure most male MLP fans aren’t the effeminate type. The gender argument is good-natured, but misplaced.

And I can’t imagine any logical argument that says MLP is actually aimed at men. Reeks of self-satisfying bullshit to me.

On a semi-related note, I’m all for equality, but I’m all against convergence of the sexes.

P.S. (A direct reply): No. I could care less if people watched MLP. But an argument relating males watching MLP to sexism and inequality and etc. is ridiculous (to begin with, the fanbase isn’t exactly a good representation of males in general). Especially one that says civil rights are on par with males watching some children’s show about ponies.

Where’s the shit on CSW, lol? =/

  6. […] 3-sentence long posts and still receive thousands of views. Nowadays the young uns’ are so picky with their posts, having a beef with the opinions of other whippersnappers […]

  7. The thing I like about MLP is that it makes girls feel better about having tramp stamps. “Cutie marks” FTW.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that you’re not alone in feeling ashamed of being human with these people around. And while I enjoy it, that post really made me scared that there are people who take Friendship is Magic to such frightening extremes.

On the bright side, even when I’m in a writer’s slump, I feel 100% better knowing I’m not writing shit like this.

      Some people are bad.

Hey, at least they’re not writing posts about shitty posts. Those are even worse!

If a teacher graded this post, it would be:
“F-, shows no creativity or motivation”
