But really, when I was watching Electromagnetic Girlfriend 01, I felt Higurashi vibes everywhere. That girl looks way too much like Rena in some shots.
Except she‘s the one holding the bat this time ’round.
Filler post is obviously filler. I’ll make it up to you guys with a better post later tonight/tommorrow.
I immediately thought of Rena when I saw that first screenshot, before I even noticed that you thought the same thing. And even though Rena doesn’t use the bat, it’s still a symbol I associate with Higurashi, further linking the two. Creepy… especially since I just now finished watching the 3rd episode of the Rei OVA!
Saki is the supporter confirmed.
Rena is like a more assertive Nagisa.

@Michael: Yeah. When I saw that girl in Electromagnetic Girlfriend, I kept thinking of Rena. That bat went pretty far in eerie similarities.

yeah so just watched this and holy shit, didnt see that coming from anywhere. yeah she gets added to the likes of reina and kaede and im sure there are other orange haired crazy bitches that i mentally repressed. i didnt get this post the first time around but i do now
oh and i forgot but off the orange hair thing, did anyone else go “Damn shes cute” when the black haired girl was in the nighty with the hair pulled out of her face?
Bah. I haven’t seen SHUFFLE!, though I’ve heard plenty of things about it.
Also, @jersey: When I saw her, I immediately thought “Shit, shoujo”
To me, she looked like a typical girl from a typical shoujo anime/manga in that scene where we first saw her face (later on, it’s better).
the middle of shuffle! turns into “dammit, this better not be another school days” but then the yandere emo bitch recovers and he /wrists literally to save his emo girlfriend from comitting suicide.
i hope i got some revenge.
I just watched Electromagnetic Girlfriend, and I thought it was really good. Damn good in fact. Thanks for writing about it, otherwise I would have never known, and missed out.

I’m just annoyed that like HiguRei and Eve no Jikan, it’s going to take another few months for the next episode to come out.
Though I guess it’s better than HiguRei. HiguRei episode 3 ended on a massive cliffhanger. 🙁
