December 28 is Editorial Day

In my latest act of rash judgment and spontaneity, I announced on Twitter that December 28th would be Editorial Day. If you want to participate, write an editorial on any anime-related subject of your choosing, and post it on December 28th. I might make a list of participants.
This event is designed to make all of us non-editorial bloggers write something that sounds smart. So if you’re an episodic blogger, a figure blogger, or a dannychoo groupie, consider doing something interesting with your blog and participate!
Stop thinking and write something already!
RULES: The Name of the Game
- Write an editorial, publish post on December 28th.
- 1000 – 2000 words is a good length.
- For those of you who aren’t as well-versed in metaaniblogspeak as I am (aka “has no life”), an editorial is basically a long post about something (excluding specific episodes of anime/chapters of manga). It’s like writing a paper for your high school English class, only more interesting.
Maybe I’ll do it, I have an idea for an editorial planned for a long time already. It’s something I consider important though, and since the aniblogosphere will still be saturated with 12 Days posts I was thinking about waiting for things to quiet down so it’ll get more notice.
But it’s the perfect time! Right when everybody’s out having fun and not looking at blog posts!
(Or “Day -1: The Editorial”)
Sounds like a prime forum for my Haganai Takoyaki post.
Off-topic: I don’t get why Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai gets abbreviated to Haganai. I mean, you’re leaving out the me, the friends, and the many. All you’re left with is Particle Particle Don’t.
Maybe it’s a commentary on the FTL neutrinos or something.
Also, do it.
Interesting. Maybe I’ll do it. Big maybe.
That’s a Definite Yes by my book. If you don’t write one, I’ll… I’ll…
You’ll? I-it’s not like I’m doing just because you said. Baka.

I am also lazy and forgetful. But this stupid post is always at the top of my blog so I can’t forget. And I’m too lazy to post more so it goes down. bah.

And done. It isn’t strictly an editorial, but fuck it I just felt like ranting in a rather verbose fashion. I liked this idea though.
Yay! I thought an editorial was just a long, organized post about opinions. Rants are good, too…?
