Twelve Moments in Anime 2009: Clannad ~After Story~ Episode 16

It’s all about Tomoya and Nagisa, yo. After Story was the tearjerker of the year, and it seems that everybody’s been too caught up in TokyoM 8.0 to remember that. Or you’re all saving the top spot for this …?
Bah.
Nah I’m waiting for the Okazaki pants explosion scene. OKAZAKI SAIKYOUUUUUUU
Clannad was awesome.
No way, that doesn’t beat ironing board guitar.
Clannad can do some great comic relief.
I’m still on the fence between choosing this or TM8.0 for biggest tearjerker.
When Nagisa died, I pretty much felt nothing. The reuniting is what got to me (oddly enough).
I didn’t watch all of TM8.0, but the three episodes that I did watch made me want to kill all of the characters. I doubt I would’ve cried at the death of a character who I wanted to see die, anyway.
P.S.: Oh god, that last sentence is a mouthful…
P.P.S.: I might go back and watch TM8.0 in the future, but for now, After Story gets my support.
I wanted to stab (whatever the girl’s name was….it began with an M) in the face. She started off so annoying. But the characters did change.
Of course, if you wanted them to die anyway, you probably wouldn’t care, I mean, I would love it if, say, Yui (or anyone else in the show) ended up dying in K-On.
For me, half of it had to do with that girl’s personality (what a whiny little bitch…!), and half of it had to do with the character designs. I couldn’t stand looking at her barely-human-looking face. It looked really flat, like a frog.
Gah, I don’t know. Clannad leaves you lingering with the pain for episode after episode as it keeps you wondering how it’ll end while TM8.0 leaves you with a punch in the gut.
I really hated Mirai at the beginning but you can really see how the character changes throughout the show.
I’m leaning a little bit towards TM8.0 though.
no way, clannad (of coz together with after story) is few of the anime that i can recommend to everyone, not to mention of the realistic and fantastic story telling. clannad banzai!! okazaki sakyo!!
