Sengoku BASARA 02: Redefining GAR.

Screw gravity.

This is the most gar anime ever.

This post is a gallery of this episode’s manliest moments.  If you’re insecure about your manliness or have had your silver taken away, tread with caution.

Also, click on the pictures to see them in all their glory.

Look at the fear on those loincloth-wearing soldiers with doberman heads.  You think they’re wusses?  Well, if you saw Date cut through arrows in midair with six swords, you wouldn’t be off much better.

When you put two characters this gar together, even the animation can’t rein in the sheer amount of manly power that oozes from their pores.

Once you get this gar, you don’t need silly things like faces.

Or bodies for that matter.

You know what?  Screw it.  You might as well give us a blank screen.  The waves of gar emanating from the colored, animated screen are too much for ordinary men to handle.

One of the most basic skills of somebody as gar as this guy is to be able to jump onto a moving horse, gigantic axe in hand, and then charge up the side of a building.

A strong punch is key to being gar.

This guy controls the forces of nature.  He wears the most manly armor in the anime.  He has a gun.  He is voiced by Norio Wakamoto.  How much more gar can you cram into one person?  This man is so gar, his gaze alone makes the guys described above turn into pansies.  Gar?  Psh.  In front of this guy, nothing is gar.

You wanna know what happens if this manliest of men meets you?

You want to know what happens if you get caught in his gar waves?

That’s what happens.  The enormous amount of gar and manliness present in Oda Nobunaga is too much for an ordinary human to bear.

Move over, Kamina.   Oda Nobunaga is here.

You missed Kenshin’s subtle display of GAR. GAR is being able to create ninjagasms at the touch of a hand. This show is like a Chuck Norris joke on steroids. I love it!

  4. Kitsune says:

haha Yes, the anti-gravity horse was fun 🙂

  5. That’s definitely the best way to describe this anime. It’s so gar it defies basic summary.

    Delivered.

I can’t take this anime seriously (nor can anybody else, I bet), so I’m just going to sit back, crack open a bottle of coke, and admire the excessive manliness.

I’m actually miffed that Nobunaga didn’t say anything. Way to tease man. In any case, the ep itself was so much fun.
