ToraDora! 23

FAIL-O-METER
There is a negligible amount of fail present in this episode.

Agh, I promised myself that I wouldn’t do episode reviews, and here I am!
Phooie.

But in all seriousness, I can’t pass up this post.
ToraDora! episode 23 is downright awesome.

You know what, to hell with the first fifteen minutes of this episode.  The true epicness lies in the last seven or so minutes of awesomely epic epicness.

ToraDora! 23 - 1
SHOE FETISH +1

ToraDora! 23 - 4
Basically, that’s Taiga in a single sentence, no?

ToraDora! 23 - 6
…reminds me of this…

No, really.

ToraDora! 23 - 7
Yay, it finally comes out directly!

ToraDora! 23 - 8

Epic ending, even if it wasn’t very realistic.

Nice to see that Minorin didn’t go back on her word.  Minorin being straightforward for once is an awesome sight.

Taiga and Ryuuji finally have to face each other and themselves!1

One thing I don’t like it how long it took for this to happen, and the incredible (as in… not credible; unbelievable) circumstances under which it happens.

I mean, seriously?  Sure, the past few episodes have been pretty well paced, but the KitamuraxTaiga thing at the beginning was just too long.  The comedy aspect of the show made the first few episodes into more of a slice-of-life/school life comedy than a set of introductory episodes to a romantic comedy.

Consequently, this ending has to come… well, it has to come in a very direct and rushed manner.  There’s no more time for Taiga and Ryuuji to slowly chisel at their facades, both episode-wise and actual time-wise in the anime (they’re almost graduating now!).
I swear, I won’t do a non-pessimistic episode review again (I’m already sleepy and tired after this bit?!)… unless it’s Clannad ~AS~ episode 22…. unless it’s an astounding episode like this one was.
