{"id":464,"date":"2009-03-25T23:50:35","date_gmt":"2009-03-26T06:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikoto.wordpress.com\/?p=464"},"modified":"2009-03-25T23:50:35","modified_gmt":"2009-03-26T06:50:35","slug":"its-the-red-hair-honest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flomu.net\/blog\/2009\/03\/its-the-red-hair-honest\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s the Red Hair, Honest!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After hearing Rie Tanaka&#8217;s signature voice from Maria (Hayate), Yomi (Azumanga Daioh), and Sammy (Eve no Jikan), among others, I still found nothing too interesting about the three characters (as in, to fuss like a fan<span style=\"text-decoration:line-through;\">girl<\/span>boy over).<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-465\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/snapshot20090324013920.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then when I heard Minna&#8217;s voice in <em>Strike Witches<\/em>, lo and behold, I swooned and fell to my knees in a touching moment of intensely manly fanboying.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing as how the voices of Maria and Minna are practically identical, the only explanation for this would be <span style=\"text-decoration:line-through;\">the lack of maid attire<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration:line-through;\">the loli pantsu<\/span> Minna&#8217;s red hair.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->And so begins the journey of one man&#8217;s quest to discover all of the red-haired anime beauties out there.<\/p>\n<p>This post is a look at ten (incuding Minna) other red-haired anime girls, and my impressions of them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-467\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/kallen.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Kallen<\/strong>\u00a0[Code Geass]<\/p>\n<p>Kallen&#8217;s red hair is a symbol of&#8230; what?<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t really care, but she is really awesome. \u00a0Kallen &gt;&gt;&gt; C.C. for sure.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes battle skills!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-468\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/yoko.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Yoko <\/strong>[Gurren Lagann]<\/p>\n<p>Yoko&#8217;s red hair is very long, compensating for her attire, or lack thereof.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes fanservice!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-469\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/tsugumi.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Tsugumi <\/strong>[Kannagi]<\/p>\n<p>Though Tsugumi ain&#8217;t my top pick in <em>Kannagi<\/em> girls, she is nonetheless very moe and deserving to be in what I believe to be the greatest anime of all time.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes childhood friend character!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-470\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/lucy.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Lucy <\/strong>[Elfen Lied]<\/p>\n<p>Lucy is quite the scary red-haired girl.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps all the people she&#8217;s killed have dyed her hair red with their blood?<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes killing intent!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-471\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/aka.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Aka<\/strong> [REC]<\/p>\n<p>Aka is the most cheerful redhead I&#8217;ve seen in anime.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes optimism!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-472\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/kuro.jpg?resize=500%2C284\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"284\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Kuro<\/strong> [Kurokami]<\/p>\n<p>This girl&#8217;s dark red hair reflects the dark nature of her soul&#8230; or not.<\/p>\n<p>Well, I can&#8217;t say I dislike Kuro, but I sure as hell hate Keita and <em>Kurokami<\/em> in general.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes wannabe Shana!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-474\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/aiko.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Aiko<\/strong> [True Tears]<\/p>\n<p>Ai-chan is definitely my favorite and the least represented girl in <em>True Tears<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes lack of screentime!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-475\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/minorin.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Minorin<\/strong> [ToraDora!]<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d say she&#8217;s the weirdest of the bunch.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance, she&#8217;s as bubbly as Aka, and then you get <a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/snapshot20090313020159.jpg\">yandere-Rena moments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Still, she, like Aiko, was my pick for the male lead. \u00a0Too bad she supports Shorty.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes eccentricity!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-466\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/shana1.jpg?resize=500%2C281\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Shana<\/strong>\u00a0[Shakugan no Shana]<\/p>\n<p>When I think &#8220;red hair&#8221; and &#8220;anime,&#8221; I automatically think of Shana.<br \/>\nThis sword-wielding loli&#8217;s flaming red hair is essentially her trademark symbol.<\/p>\n<p>Had Mikoto not come along and turned anime into awesome, I would most likely be a Shanaist.<br \/>\nShana was the first anime girl I found myself a fan of, and she remains second only to Mikoto.<\/p>\n<p>Her red hair symbolizes, among other things, flame.<br \/>\nFlame as in&#8230; love, power,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration:line-through;\">and tsundere<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m willing to bet that Shana is\u00a0<strong>the<\/strong>\u00a0red-haired anime girl.<\/p>\n<p>Red hair symbolizes epic win!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nIn conclusion, red hair is awesome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After hearing Rie Tanaka&#8217;s signature voice from Maria (Hayate), Yomi (Azumanga Daioh), and Sammy (Eve no Jikan), among others, I still found nothing too interesting about the three characters (as in, to fuss like a fangirlboy over).
