{"id":4064,"date":"2010-01-04T22:57:59","date_gmt":"2010-01-05T06:57:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikoto.wordpress.com\/?p=4064"},"modified":"2010-01-04T22:57:59","modified_gmt":"2010-01-05T06:57:59","slug":"sora-no-woto-01-this-is-a-top-tier-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/flomu.net\/blog\/2010\/01\/sora-no-woto-01-this-is-a-top-tier-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Sora no Woto 01: This is a top-tier show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a style=\"text-decoration:none;\" href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/snapshot20100104220832.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4065\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/snapshot20100104220832.jpg?resize=500%2C284\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"284\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re going to say that Sora no Woto resembles K-ON in any way besides the character design (mostly eye design, really), screw off, because you&#8217;re sorely mistaken.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Since I&#8217;m not good at writing in paragraph form, I&#8217;m just going to list off the pros and the cons of this episode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro<\/strong><strong>s:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everything<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cons:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nothing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I can&#8217;t really say much else than that. \u00a0This episode was absolutely perfect. \u00a0There wasn&#8217;t a single fault of this first episode.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"text-decoration:none;\" href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/snapshot20100104222801.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4066\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/snapshot20100104222801.jpg?resize=500%2C284\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"284\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And since I&#8217;ve run out of things to talk about, let me tell you why <strong>this show is nothing like K-ON!<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>K-ON! focused on moe. \u00a0Anybody who claims it was based on music must&#8217;ve watched the wrong show, because I got assaulted by much more moe than I&#8217;ll ever need or want. \u00a0Sora no Woto actually focuses on music and war\/the military.<\/p>\n<p>Yui and Kanata are both clumsy, yes. \u00a0But whereas Yui would do every single thing wrong, Kanata has a believable bad sense of direction. \u00a0And even then, we see Kanata get &#8220;lost&#8221; while chasing after Rio&#8217;s necklace. \u00a0It&#8217;s not that she&#8217;s a dumbass like Yui who exists just to take up space and actually gets lost all the time (how can that even happen?), but that she has an admirable set of morals and often gets &#8220;lost&#8221; doing the right thing.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, since I&#8217;m so pumped up right now, I&#8217;m going to tackle the elephant in the room: the artwork. \u00a0Sora no Woto&#8217;s first episode was significantly better looking than anything K-ON!
