Koyuki (Beck)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Koyuki is the most wimpy-looking hero of a sports anime that I&#8217;ve ever seen. \u00a0He looks like a pushover in episode one, and he still looks like a pushover in episode 26. \u00a0But there&#8217;s no denying how incredibly awesome he becomes. \u00a0He starts out small, matures, and becomes one hell of a star.<\/p>\n<p>Why Koyuki? \u00a0He is the most believable sports character out there (even if suddenly rising to the top isn&#8217;t very believable). \u00a0Sena Kobayakawa? \u00a0He undergoes such rapid development that it&#8217;s hard to believe he was ever a gofer. \u00a0Akagi? \u00a0Uh. \u00a0In any case, Koyuki actually sucks in the beginning. \u00a0He sucks a lot at guitar. \u00a0He is no Yui, who miraculously learns how to play in two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Hard work definitely pays off, and we see it in Koyuki.  <a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/madao.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3684\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/madao.gif?resize=400%2C427\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">24. Madao (Gintama)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Taizo Hasegawa is the ultimate loser. \u00a0In an anime where episodes often end with a reflection on life, the one man who tries to chase his dreams and follow his own morals ends up the loser.<\/p>\n<p>Madao does everything right, follows all of the morals that Gintoki talks about, yet still ends up accomplishing nothing. \u00a0He is in a perpetual midlife crisis, spurred by numerous incidents that he is dragged into for little to no reason at all.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, some good people never come out on top&#8230; but it&#8217;s damn funny anyway. \u00a0Hats off to you, king of losers.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/a359e645b6f795603509f6c4d7373e0e.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3685\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/a359e645b6f795603509f6c4d7373e0e.jpg?resize=499%2C1483\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"1483\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">23. M<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\">asa (Seto no Hanayome)<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Seto no Hanayome ranks up there on my list as one of the best comedies ever (I gave it a ten out of ten), but it wasn&#8217;t any one character that made the series spring to life (in comparison, Kannagi&#8217;s Nagi made up 99% of the series) &#8211; rather, it was the entire cast of eccentric characters, combined with one hell of a storyline that made the series so great. \u00a0And who better to represent this series than Masa, the subject of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/snapshot20090728034318.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">best running gag<\/a> I&#8217;ve ever seen?<\/p>\n<p>I know I&#8217;m not being fair here, but in my opinion, Seto no Hanayome <em>has <\/em>to go on this list somewhere.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/eeaaf1ad75f545ff52cea3f0dfc2fd0e.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3691\" title=\"There are tons of pictures I could have used, but this one gets me every time.\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/eeaaf1ad75f545ff52cea3f0dfc2fd0e.png?resize=350%2C350\" alt=\"eeaaf1ad75f545ff52cea3f0dfc2fd0\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">22. L (Death Note)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>L is a last-minute addition to this list. \u00a0I just finished Death Note a few days ago, and despite how much of a disappointment the second half was, I loved the show.<\/p>\n<p>But going back to the disappointing second half idea&#8230; there was <strong>(SPOILER ALERT LOLS)<\/strong> no L. \u00a0L is what made the show exciting to watch. \u00a0Near and Mello are stupid names for stupid characters whose stupidity can never match the coolness and non-stupidity of the great L.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/7ea1d4e867da135e463fb8dc22cd51d5.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3692\" title=\"Greatest Rena picture ever\" src=\"http:\/\/mikoto.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/7ea1d4e867da135e463fb8dc22cd51d5.jpg?resize=500%2C706\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"706\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">21.
