But I didn't.<\/p><\/div>\n

I just watched episode two of SHAFT’s new anime, and I’m dropping it.<\/p>\n

This was one of my most anticipated anime for this season (along with Shangri-La<\/em> and Hatsukoi Limited<\/em>), and I was really hoping for some epicness. \u00a0I’ve seen Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei<\/em>, REC<\/em>, and ef<\/em>, and I’ve loved all of them. \u00a0I truly thought that SHAFT was the<\/em> company… until last week, when I saw Natsu no Arashi<\/em> episode 1.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

SHAFT is famous for the artistic genius in each of the anime it produces, and Natsu no Arashi<\/em> ain’t no exception. \u00a0As REC<\/em> made use of light and shading, as ef<\/em> made use of abstract, colorful art, and as Zetsubou Sensei<\/em> made use of backgrounds filled with color (or lack thereof), Natsu no Arashi<\/em> makes use of angular shadows.<\/p>\n

Sure, there’s a bunch of shading, abstract art, and color, but there’s rarely a scene in Natsu no Arashi<\/em> without the familiar hexagonal shadow in the background (or sometimes, foreground).<\/p>\n

The humor here doesn’t strike me as funny. \u00a0I didn’t laugh at all when the tough-looking guy got arrested for speeding, though I didn’t expect it…<\/p>\n

You know what, screw it. \u00a0I’m just going to let this post degenerate into one random post filled with crap. \u00a0I’m not good with things involving seriousness.
\nBut before I do: I gave Natsu no Arashi<\/em> a 6\/10 on MAL. \u00a0Dropped. \u00a0Will pick up again if I hear numerous reports of awesome.<\/p>\n

When this scene came up, I was just like “lolwut.”<\/p>\n

Con Artist girl looks kind of like Haruka, and Buff Dude reminded me of Nose Hair Man (the latter, I’ve no idea why. \u00a0They’re both male?).<\/p>\n

IS THAT YOU, CHIHIRO?!?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

NOZOMU ITOSHIKI!?!<\/p>\n

Oh, I didn’t get the “catchphrase” thing. \u00a0I’m pretty sure it’s an allusion, but…<\/p>\n

Oh God, not more Munto…<\/p>\n

He’s kinda like Johnny Bravo.<\/p>\n
